Residents of Kapuskasing may have seen film crews around town in the past few days as they were on site filming for a new documentary series to premiere in 2015.
Agrofolie, producted by Mozus Productions from Moncton, New Brunswick, is a series hosted by former Kapuskasing resident Patrick Thibeault that revolves around his enthusiasm for food growing, gathering, and hunting, as well as the relationships forged with like minded individuals.
“Agrofolie is a series of six documentaries that will be aired as of March 23,2015, on Unis, an exciting new channel,” said Rachel Duperrault, coordinator for the production. “It will be including filming from places such as Moncton, Cap Pelé, Memramcook, Saint-Antone, Cogane, Grande-Digue, Clair, as well as Alfred, Perth, and Kapuskasing Ontario and other quaint spots along the way.”
The crew filmed in Kapuskasing to capture footage of Thibeault hunting, cooking for extended family, and visiting the agricultural initiative of Kapuskasing District High School teacher Randy Swain and his students.
